What we do
The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance the quality of life for all people in their communities, guided by biblical ideals. They share their faith in God and commit to bettering humanity. With over 21 million members worldwide and more than one million in North America, they keep their doors open to anyone seeking worship in their 151,000 congregations globally . Adventists engage in various community activities, including community service, healthcare, education, and humanitarian aid
Community Service: Adventists actively participate in community outreach, providing assistance to those in need. They run food banks, clothing drives, and other programs to support local communities.
Healthcare: The church operates a vast network of hospitals and clinics worldwide, contributing to healthcare services. Their focus on holistic health aligns with their belief in the body as God’s temple.
Education: With over 7,500 schools globally, including post-secondary institutions, Adventists prioritize education. They emphasize character development alongside academic excellence.

Prayer
Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend. Not that it is necessary in order to make known to God what we are, but in order to enable us to receive Him. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him. Steps to Christ, p 93
Children Ministries
Seventh-day Adventists affirm the right of every child to a happy and stable home environment. Children’s Ministries recognise that children are born with an inherent capacity for spirituality that requires nurture and support.
Family Ministries
Seventh-day Adventists recognise that families are the building blocks of community, the church and society. We believe God created families to nurture warm, meaningful and loving relationships, and to discover what it is to love and be loved.

Pathfinders
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19,20) While we should engage in numerous activities as we respond to human need as Jesus did, our principal task is to "make disciples."
